How to arrive

Situation: The City of Telde is located in the South east of the Island of Gran Canaria, 13km from the capital Las Palmas and has an area of 101 km

Climate: Telde has a climate of mild temperatures, that oscillate annually between the 16 and 25 degrees, and where the trade winds of the northwest predominate.

Telde is located 13 kilometers from the capital of the Island, Las Palmas and to visit Telde from the capital, the visitor should take the motorway, south bound. This is a short and easy route, as the motorway has three lanes in each direction. The duration of the journey is of approximately 15 minutes.

If you choose to travel on public transport, you should take a bus, known as a GUAGUA in Gran Canaria (pronounced WAH WAH), Catch the bus from the bus station of San Telmo , you can choose between several guaguas that go to different districts in the municipality of Telde. Guagua number 12, that has a service every 30 minutes, terminates in the centre of Telde,, via the district of Jinámar. In addition,  guaguas 15 and  55,  go to the districts of the Remudas and Valle de Jinámar.

You can also take a guagua from the bus station in Santa Catalina, The 80 will take you directly to Telde, and runs approximately every 20 minutes.

To visit Telde from Maspalomas and the South, you can catch the hourly 36 guagua.
