Telde is famous for its basket work and the manufacture of popular Canarian knives, looms and dyes. Pottery and metalwork are also very traditional.

The tourist can also visit some of the workshops and get the chance to see craftsmen at work in the oldest areas of the neighborhood. Here, it is possible to purchase some souvenirs and Canarian wares.

Also, in the heart of Telde, a local street market is held every Saturday. On Sundays there is a local street market in Jinámar, famous for its earthenware and crafts.
