Description

This convent church located in the San Francisco district has been built in a plain manner in a rectangular shape, being made up of two buildings separated by three beautiful arches of grey stone. In its interior we can admire numerous examples of the Purist Baroque art style, of which three multi-coloured stone altarpieces stand out, due to their pure simplicity which astounds every visitor who visits this place. A beautiful piece of art honoring the “Agony of Christ” of Sevillian origin can also be admired. It was brought here at the beginning of the 17th Century together with a small statue representing Saint Francis of Assisi, the craftsmanship to this day is still unknown.
